|Recommended: YesBeen here since 1987 — Wherever you live, if you don't make your house apt a home, it will never be anything more than a place to live. If you decide to live here, make sure you are a person that can adjust to apt living. Be willing to compromise with neighbors, be friendly and you'll make it here.
|Recommended: YesChestnut Lake — This is my first apartment, and I do not have many qualms or expectations as a first-time renter, except the fact that there are nights the lot that my building is in, are sometimes full and I have to park across the street.

|Recommended: YesA nice place to live. — I had no problems with needed repairs all of my work orders were taken care of in a timely manner. The office staff are very nice and accommodating to your needs. The maintenance staff are awesome. The drawbacks are no assigned parking so it is hard to find a spot to park due to visitors. The ground Keepers aren't the best especially in the winter you have to shave your way out at night or early mornings especially on the weekends.
|Recommended: YesLots of cigarrette butts, but overall a great place. — I have been living in my Chestnut Lake apartment for over a month now, and I have noticed that a lot of people smoke and then leave the cigarette butts outside on the ground because there is no place for them to be disposed of elsewhere. Moving in was easy, and I was happy with the condition of the apartment when I got here. Maintenance responded quickly to my request. It's a generally safe and accessible complex.

|Recommended: YesFor the amount paid per month, great — Apt not ready on Move In Date March 24th I picked up my keys on 3 24. I began my checklist. Not complaining but the apt should have been ready to move in on that date. There were still items needing completion bathroom toilet and showering caulking, bathroom shower nozzle falling out of wall I called the office and they got maintenance right on the tasks. After moving in on 3 30, the kitchen, dining room outlets and one living room outlet were not working. I called the office and again, they got maintenance right on it.
Smoke FREE Not hardly, someone smokes weed every morning and throughout the day. The smell enters my apt through the vents. It should be enforced for them to go outside and smoke just as the sign on the building shows.
Noise My neighbors are very respectful when it comes to noise. The building is very quiet at night, with the exception of hearing them in the hallways and when the baby next door is crying. It is much more quieter than Willow Ridge. At WR, you can hear the neighbors every movement and conversation. They charge all that money for dry wall with no installation.
Grounds Cleanliness Only in the front. Back here near 1265, there is trash behind the buildings. No one picks up the trash, which is why I gave 2 stars
Construction Quality I love the windows I can open them when my neighbors are smoking weed. However, the heat can only be turned up to 78 degrees, so I hope in the winter it is not freezing in my apt. If so, I will have to buy a heater. It's spring now, so we shall see. Also, the building is old which is why the rent is much cheaper than surrounding areas. If they upgrade, the rent would probably increase drastically. It is much more quieter than I expected. My only concern was the bathroom. The walls were painted but the cabinet was not. It is badly warped inside and needs to be updated. The tub was painted over which I do not care about. I asked maintenance for paint because for me it is an eyesore. I do not use the bathroom cabinet. I use the spacious and nicely painted linen closet near the bathroom.
Maintenance Staff They fixed the items in the apt upon the many work orders due to my apt not being ready. They were very nice when entering the apt. I gave 4 stars because the issues within the apt should have been completed prior to my arrival. I am not sure if it is maintenance that gets the apt's ready like any other complex, but I feel like they rushed to get my apt ready at the last minute and it was not thoroughly checked before I received the keys.
Property Staff They answered my questions in a timely manner.
Overall Rating 4 Stars due to parking, quietness of apartment, quality of construction, professionalism of all staff
|Recommended: YesGreat value for reasonable rates, very convenient location — Overall I really enjoy this place. It's not perfect, but they will address anything very promptly. For what I pay is great compared to literally less than a mile away. I wish they owned the roads through the complex, sometimes there's some real loud cars.
